Institute for New Generation Computer Technology (ICOT) handed over its duties of releasing major software developed as part of the FGCS project and its follow-on project called ICOT Free Software (IFS) accesible via the Internet to Research Institute for Advanced Information Technology (AITEC) in 1995.
However, IFS contain software programs that cannot be executed on current machine environment since some of them were developped for the parallel inference machine that ICOT developped.
In this page, we will release all of IFS mainly for displaying what kind of sofware programs had been researched and developed in FGCS project and its follow-on project. Ideas behind them can also be found.
