Overview

This system provides illustrations of biological reactions, signal transductions, gene expressions and their relationships using QUIXOTE.

The aspect of the object oriented database language of QUIXOTE enables to represent pieces of biological processes systematically and easily.
The aspect of the deductive database language provides total illustration from the pieces of biological processes which may be altered or detailed.
GUI shows biological processes in the requested minuteness.
References to the existing public databases such as PIR or ProSite are available.

The system allows knowledge update easily using QUIXOTE.
The system answers using QUIXOTE deduction mechanism what would happen when some stimuli are given to a certain cell.
The system illustrates the answers in various minuteness.
