gcount - Gaku's Counter

Yes, it's animation! Have you ever seen a counter like this? May be gcount is the first counter which show the increment animation.

gcount display the access count by increment the number in front of you. This counter use gif89a to show the animation.

Requirement

To install gcount-server in your site you need to
  • perl5 with GD.pm
  • perl5 can obtain from ftp://ftp.netlabs.com/pub/outgoing/perl5.0 or its mirror site.
  • GD.pm is a perl5 interface to Thomas Boutell's gd library written by Lincoln D. Stein. You can obtain it from http://www-genome.wi.mit.edu/pub/software/WWW/GD.html
  • GD.pm needs Gd library(libgd.a). It can be obtained from http://siva.cshl.org/gd/gd.html
  • cgi-lib.pl (Perl Routines to Manipulate CGI input) by S.E.Brenner@bioc.cam.ac.uk.
  • gifmerge written by Mark Podlipec. (gifmerge.tar)

    I tested gcount on NCSA httpd 1.4 and apache httpd 1.0.3.
